Product Warranty – 10 Years

This Limited Product Warranty is for a period of 10 years. For warranty purposes, Xchange is the manufacturer and selling agent and will manage the warranty claim process on behalf of our customers. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Customers who have purchased products from Xchange and experience product failure within the manufacturer warranty period may be en tled to make a warranty claim to cover the costs of repair or replacement of the product. Xchange will manage the warranty claim process on behalf of the customer and final decision on the warranty claim sits with the manufacturer.

This warranty applies to the original owner / purchaser of the product only, structural and operational parts, normal use of product in general office and administration environments.

This warranty does not apply to damage caused by a carrier other than Xchange, normal wear and tear, user abuse or acts or omissions of par es other than Xchange (including modification), Third party fabric, upholstery, foams, laminated board, or other third party material applied to our products, products not installed by or under the auspices of a certified dealer partner of Xchange, drama c temperature variations or exposure to unusual conditions, changes in surface finishes, including colour-fastness due to ageing or exposure to light, claims for any other associated costs from the end user, including claims for reimbursement for any work carried out by an unauthorized third party, natural variations occurring in wood or leather shall not be considered defects and Xchange does not guarantee the colour-fastness or matching of colour, grains or textures, or surface hardness of such materials. The express warranties contained herein are in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including any warranties of merchantability and fitness for particular purpose and all other warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. Should any failure to conform with this limited warranty appear to a product listed above during the applicable warranty period from the original date of purchase, Xchange shall, upon written notice, repair or replace,
at it’s op on and costs, the affected part or parts in a manner so as to minimize distributions to the users. All claims under this warranty must be communicated directly to Xchange Design Australia Pty Ltd. Product must be serviced by Xchange authorized service personnel. Unauthorized servicing immediately renders any warranty null and void, parts used to repair a product under warranty are covered to the end date of the original warranty period only.

To make a warranty claim, please ensure you have the following information. This will assist in expediting the warranty claim: Proof of purchase (copy of invoice, point of sale receipt or sales order), image and description of fault, address where the product is currently located, contact details of the claimant (must correspond to the purchaser’s details). Custom fabric or leather that is applied to products that has not been supplied by the product manufacturer will be subject to warranties provided by the fabric/ leather manufacturer and will not be covered by product manufacturer warranties. If Xchange has supplied the fabric/leather, please contact our customer service team for warranty details. Customers who have provided their own fabric/leather will need to contact their supplier for warranty issues relating to fabric/leather.

Please note that manufacturer warranties only apply to original purchasers. Where a product has been purchased second hand, Xchange Design and the manufacturer will no longer be liable for claims against product warranties. This does not affect any rights or remedies to which you may be entitled under the Australian Consumer Law.
