WHO WE ARE

Xchange is a global design brand with distribution and manufacturing partners in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. The company was created by Swiss architect and furniture designer Daniel Korb, and Anthony Kotarac, a Sydney based architect and furniture designer who both share a passion for high quality and well designed office furniture. Korb and Kotarac believe that “furniture is architecture on a different scale“. This thinking has shaped xchange‘s approach to office furniture design resulting solutions that seamlessly fuse utility and beauty. The swisserang – our xchange logo – born from the Swiss Cross and Australian boomerang is promise of innovative design and quailty.

OUR ROOTS

We see the world and furniture through the eyes of architects with a holistic view and understanding. Being process orientated, not product driven is the most important skill for us to develop. It means seeking to understand a design problem before chasing after solutions. We are making design investigations and decisions that address several aspects of a design problem at once rather than sequentially.

When we decided to start xchange, it was key for us to be global from day one. We understand that this takes time as we have to learn and grow in different places in the global village simultaneously. Today one can work with xchange already in four major places representing three continents. New hubs are in the pipeline and will be established soon. Being global starts local.
